Hi, I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria as a teenager and been living with it all these years but it was just verbal diagnosis as we had no means to get treatment back then. I'm in my late 20s now and my dysphoria has gotten so bad I'm unable to live a normal life. I have been avoiding people for the last 3+ years isolating myself. I even removed all mirrors from my flat. 🥺

I approached several psychiatrists locally here in Thiruvananthapuram, but all said they don't have experience with it. But now, I can't put it off any further. I need to get affirming treatments.

Last week I tried to drown myself in the pool but flat security uncle was doing his rounds and pulled me out before i inhaled too much water. Association members been scolding me all week and talk about my suicide reached my flat owner. He's sympathetic and told me I don't have to pay rent for two months, he'll deduct from deposit, and told me to get on antidepressants to deal with depression. They think it's because my parent's died with covid, maybe that's contributing to it, but it's mainly dysphoria.

My cousin came over to stay to watch over me and says owner most likely would have me vacated soon as I'm a liability now and he's only being nice so I don't attempt it again.

I'm in a bit of a financial situation and unable to travel even out of state. I'm unemployed because I'm unable to do job interviews due to my dysphoria. I just blank out and fumble my words. They get annoyed and cut the interview. Until last year, I was getting by as a content writer, but since bloom of AI, I'm not getting any work and now in heavy debt. I might become homeless soon. I want to get this sorted and get ID before that. I'll possibly be hopping between friends or relatives until I get a job once I am forced to vecate, but they'll only let me stay for short periods. I'm looking into periferry too but I want to get documents sorted first.

Is there any reputable psychiatrist for trans women from Kerala who would do sessions online? I don't expect I'll need too many sessions because I was unofficially diagnosed even as a teenager. So, what might be minimum number of sessions? How much will it cost me approximately? What should I expect in the sessions? Will I get letter by mail or softcopy? Can I use the letter to apply for female transgender ID card? I won't change my name Lucky (the irony...) as it's same for both boy or girl. I'll only change my gender. I read periferry accepts self declaration, but what if company they try to place me with wants dysphoria letter? So, I want to get it all sorted in the two months I have. Please advice.
