Hey! Yes, I'm still looking for rooms in Bangalore and Chennai. No, I haven't gotten a solid lead yet.
Anyways, I reached out to Neelam from Periferry regarding my need for accommodation. She recommended Tranquil homes in Bellandur, Bangalore. It is a part of isthara co-living and I was told that Periferry houses unemployed trans women here while they train and get jobs. So, a lot of the residents are trans (Which I see as a huge plus in terms of safety). This is by far the best lead I've got and will probably be what I choose. I just wanted to know if any of you have lived at tranquil homes at any point. How is the food? the housekeeping? how is the wifi? Anything I should know? etc.
In any case, I am still open to other leads. I'm a 25-year-old trans woman, looking for rooms around Bangalore and Chennai. I work as a life science reviewer at cactus communications which is completely work-from-home, so my only needs are a strong WiFi connection and hot water. For that same reason, the area doesn't matter, it can be anywhere in Bangalore or Chennai.
I am a great roommate, a decent cook, and I like to keep things clean. I don't smoke but I do drink on occasion (not inside the house if it's a problem), and if you smoke and drink, that's not a problem with me. I am fine with any non-reptilian pets.
Honestly, I'm just trying to get away from my transphobic family. My rent budget is 7-8k. Any leads on rooms/flats requiring a roommate, Trans-friendly PG hostels, or even independent rooms within the budget are appreciated. Please contact me on Instagram @transxmafia
Thank you!
