Is it necessary to wear girls stuff like clothes, jwellery before taking hormones??? Because dr advised me to wear those stuffs after that they will start my hrt after 6 month.....still thinking what to do now...plz suggest

Hello Anuj , what your doctor is asking you to do is an outdated concept called Real Life Experience (RLE) . its not a mandatory step in Gender dysphoria diagnosis. Please be informed that you are allowed to say NO to such requests from the doctor. and still if the doctor is persistent on RLE , you may look for another doctor to help you in the process.

Anuj RLE is not compulsory.. doctor should not ask for that... Nor he or she can force u for that.. ever family member and frnds concern also not compulsory... there is many trans they struggle alone only..

you can go to Dr Armaan Pandey in chembur. He gave me the letter without RLE, But I was asked to bring a friend/family member who can give some legitimacy to him about my feelings. This thing was asked from all the psychiatrists to bring a friend/family member where i visited, couldn’t be a compulsion though

It could be anyone family or friend. I took my college friend with me. she had known me for 3 years at the time, so make sure it’s someone with whom you have fairly close relationship because they might do some questioning about how well that person knows you

varies from person to person, I got it after 2 sessions only (within a week). It may be because I cleared the test which he had asked me to do. Plus, I showed him my cross dressing pictures during clubbing, so that certainly had a positive effect

My doctor didn't ask me for RLE. At my first session he referred me to clinical psychologist for psychological test,aftef i received the test result he gave me consent for hrt in my 2nd session.

AVL7036 Absolutely. Its cruel to ask someone to get a real life experience(RLE) of living like opposite gender, when one has not even started their HRT and thereby dont look like the opposite gender. It can also be dangerous for some people.

My doctor also issue GID certificate to me in two sessions without any RLF test or family member.
I'm started my HRT within one week.
