Nisha__Nisha peritoneal is a failure technique,it's not working out for trans women, most of the folks who had atleast in my friends list depth ,it's relatively newer technique, doctors are also studying ! If you wanna experiment with your body to for it ,if it work it works basis luck
Same is not true for sigmoid , sigmoid is gold standard technique a lot of research is been done ,doctors in India are trained and they can predict what happens after 10 yrs etc ....same is not true for peritoneal.
Like I told u I dint wanted to go for revision surgeries that is why I have opted sigmoid, my BMI was 20 , I had no digestion issues before and alhumdulliah even after surgery, nothing has changed.
Sigmoid colon worked for me functionally as well I am able to have penetrative sex , I am able to masturbate and achieve orgasm , I am dilating regularly, sometimes even if I don't dilate for 2-3 days .I dilated back again and it was same depth sigmoid colon doesn't stenose ,I have to use pad I get irritated with it it's very less mucus but it thicker and it's there ,my frnd who had surgery last year the mucus secretions settled for her in an year . I read about smell and stuff online but personally I never experienced.i douche my vagina with betadine regularly, wash it with soap .
There are scars on my tummy which are fading and I believe with time they will fade .
I showed my vagina to cis women and gynaecologist aswell they were amazed with the kind of aesthetic I have down there and it was hard for them to believe that it's a reconstructed vagina that's how everything is in place ...proper clitoral hood , proper labia , properly placed vaginal opening eventually nothing different except for the scars on both the sides ...I believe they will also fade . I don't like hair if you have hair growth down there then the scars will be hidden in hair and won't be visible ! .I keep it clean and trimmed also getting lasers ..scars don't bother me!
I am not over exaggerating anything...this is how I feel genuinely about the surgery overall !
Initially stages ,
I experienced complications like bleeding in OT they managed with blood transfusion
I experienced pain , it was there for longer period in my case till 3 months I had pain in vulva ..I would rather call it soreness it was like 2 -3/10 .
I pray 5 times a day so I have to keep changing my pads and use tissues and stuff that's a little bit task .
Initially, dilation seems like a task bcaz before surgery we don't do it , it will seems as though this is an extra day activity but slowly we will get used to it ! It absolutely painless we need to be patient and it's just 15 mins so not a big deal ...slowly the frequency of dilation will decrease but it's very important to maintain results !
Over-all sigmoid is really good
- To men it should feel like vagina when they penetrate ,penile inversion is skin ! ,sigmoid colon feels same as cis vagina ,wet and warm
- Dilation is painless and very less need
- Vagina or results achieved will never stenose (maintain with dilation)
4.Mucus secretions are present so need not use lube
- No hair growth inside the vagina
- I see no changed in digestion!
- We can resume to our activities normally...I have no restrictions whatsoever...I'm driving , working out doing stuff ! I see no changes in stamina and all
- Aesthetics are good as doctors have good amount of skin to play
I suggest going for orchietomy one year prior to vaginoplasty.....most of skin will shrink and we will not require touch up surgeries...in my case my vaginal Asthetics are really good ..no excess skin
Initially I was scared about urinary complications but nothing happened....only thing which bothered me initially was stream of urine ...the urine was going straight but in between few days urine was falling on my thighs .... eventually it settled as swelling gone down !!!
Choosing good surgeon plays a important role ....choose what's best .... It was done laparoscopically for me so recovery was fast !!! Save money and go for best !
Sigmoid is like one time investment....
People will get scared as it involves colon surgery...but when done with team of good doctors need not worry !!!
Weight is also a important factor, eat healthy if you want to get best results and maintain low BMI !
