Deepa Hi Deepa, which one you chose? I had some questions regarding the sigmoid colon vaginoplasty with penile inversion since I went through the same at Olmec and wanted to check a few things with other people to check on the progress.

AnuLuna Sigmoid colon vaginoplasty with penile inversion is where they use sigmoid colon for the depth and use your penile/scrotum skin for creation of vulva, this apparently gives a better blood supply as the same skin is used preserving the nerves. I went to Dr. Narendra, Olmec clinic

Deepa You are right about sigmoid colon being more invasive due to the incision. With regards to the recovery, I am pretty much okay now, and I went back to office on day 18 post-op, which is much earlier than most of the people who have had just a penile inversion technique. It's true that recovery time is different for anyone, but given the circumstances, I have noticed lot of people recovering quite fast with sigmoid colon vaginoplasty.

yashika_1989 first I chose sigmoid colon, then I chickened out at last moment and opted for penile inversion as I don't want any scars on my body which is strict no no for me and doctor told me there are chances of complications in colon.

Megha sorry just noticed there was a message I didn't reply to..Smell is awful. I really hope this goes off with time.

Deepa I'm more than a month post-op. Recently I have noticed that I feel a burning sensation while I dilate,. It's similar to the pain you feel when you have a open wound and you put alcohol on it. I did not have this in the first few days of dilation. Any idea? Did you also experience such sensation? It's not that big a pain, but it certainly is uncomfortable.

Megha I don't know really. I was told that the discharge would last 5 or 6 months, so am thinking it will be there for another 4 months at least. Am planning to douche though, hoping it will help in less discharge.
