Sorry that my complete post didn't get posted earlier.
I met Dr. Achal Bhagat, Psychiatrist, Indraprasta Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He is very friendly. I initially met him at Apollo alone. On the next two sittings, I met him along with my wife at Safdarjung Enclave in New Delhi. He has his own website where one can find the contact information of his PAs. In my case, I only want to stick to hormones because I want wife and kids to have a wonderful life without Society ruining them. I told my daughter, who is 10 years old, about my issue. She initially said it will be bad for her to lose her father but later on when i told that it will make me happy, she told me if I am happy then she's happy too. Slowly son will also understand.
Dr. Bhagat told me that I may not later on stick to the decision of only HRT as hormonal changes will make me think as a woman and the craving to change fully will only increase. At the same time, he told my wife to support me and this is the time when she needs to stand next to me rather than resisting. He also told her that she should not feel cheated if i later on decide to change fully. On the third sitting, he asked me to go see an endocrinologist. Overall, I recommend him.
I met Dr. Col. Sudhir Tripathi, who sits in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He did patiently hear me out for 30 minutes and then heard my wife. He told me he has known cases of complete transformation, but since I only want to stick to HRT, he needed a week's time to study. He is awestruck by the amount of knowledge I shared with him, lol. I told him I have been studying for 20 years. But he charges initially 2000 for consultation and thereafter 1500, which I feel is on the higher side. In fact, he also asked me if I know anyone who is transitioning, unfortunately I don't know anyone in real life who is a friend to me. He did tell me that he needs to dig deep to study in order to achieve best results. THIS IS THE CONCERN.
When I shared this info with the people I know at Susan's TG place, they asked me to better consult a doctor who has been treating people like me.
