Folks in Bangalore: Stay away from "Center for Diabetes & Endocrine Care".

Doctor hears you out on your Dysphoria diagnosis, Makes you do a battery of tests (costing 3 grand), You assume on your followup visit he will talk you through the HRT? WRONG! Dr. Prasanna insists on doing the test results review in front of other patients and tells you no further treatment is necessary! I summoned the courage and said the word "Gender Dysphoria" and he said "no use doing any further treatment".

If he doesnt want to do the HRT treatment for whatever reasons, religious/cultural, he could have just denied it in the first meeting. Instead he made me do the tests?

1.has he done the blood work..?
2.and of course how much did it cost ..though it might vary from person to person. but do let me know the average cause i am planning a trip to delhi ..?
and of course share the doctor address too ..?
and what was your regime with Dr. arun and now with the Dr. arvind ..?

AVL7036 it was good experience, yeah he's strict about blood work and psychiatrist consent. Hrt cost 1-2k. He sits in dwarka, you can google.

And yes i do have a psychiatric consent from IGMC Shimla .

I think there is no need of blood work initially, Since at first we just have to start with Anti-Androgens. I went to Dr Arun and He is Senior and knows what to do, He does not waste any time.

neha143 hi, ur planning for OT right, so u no need anti androgens, doing OT before srs is to skip t blockers.

neha143 i was on both anti androgens and estrogen for five months and still he didn't ask for blood tests. You should consult few more doctors, and search their reviews, don't blindly trust olmec or any other doctor.

Megha I am not blindly trusting anyone... This is just the beginning and I have good faith in them... Dr Arun is very senior and I have heard good things about him before Olmec Recommended him to me....
You can read reviews on this google local listing also... I can not simply doubt anyone on the basis of denying a blood test, He is there for so many years.

neha143 i think blood test is very necessary to monitor your Hormone levels . though i am still seeing Dr Arun .. i don't have an expertise to challenge his expertise but have this perpetual doubt which makes me worried about my health . !

Hi Arunkn1 , you will 1st have to see a psychiatrist & get a GID certificate . After that an endocrinologist will prescribe you hormones.
