Today I have gone to meet kidney specialist doctor in Bangalore,,,,
From past few months I got pain in kidney place,,, I got doubt that I have stone or something,,,,, But thank GOD no issues,,,, I have only infection in kidney due to lack of water consumption!!!,,,,
However, I asked him that, If I take MTF hormones it will not effect to my kidneys?,,, He suggested that,, Before HRT,,, do the operation SRS, because testis would not produce the male hormones that time and it will reduce the consumption of medication,,,,,
Friends please suggest me If you have any Idea on this,,,, I can go for a SRS before HRT ???
Deepa44 I would personally recommend HRT for a period of 1 years or so, before opting any surgical corrections. HRT practically & psychologically prepares you for the next big. Your doctor is sensible WRT hormonal conjunctions, but not a feasible solution straight thru. I'm not a big fan of blockers, but it preps you better, so don't rush.
Drink good amounts of water timely. You might be aware by now how important it's. Hormones put stress on liver, so keep your diagnostic screening done time to time. Dosages will need adjustments, so stay in touch with your Endo.
Strictly NO self medication or by peer suggestion. It won't work that way. I'm still broke by self medicating despite buddies warning.
the bit about "living as a woman" is what got me all confused and stopped me from beginning HRT 4 years back. I was told back then that I have to "live as a woman" for 3-6 months before she would start HRT with me.
I understand the point about "feeling like a woman". That I already do. But do I really have to change my attire to "live like a woman"? I am comfortable in my current dressing sense - very practical given my active lifestyle. Frilly skirts and sari's are just not my thing.
My blogpost on that:
Does one really have to dress up to feel like a woman?
PS: Wearing a bra does do wonders! ?
