Hello everyone. It's been around a month since I last posted a similar question asking for a psychiatrist around me. I can't seem to find any trans friendly doctors. Maybe it's just me not looking hard enough but it's been kinda tough, honestly. If anyone here knows about a good psychiatrist who helped them out, I'll be be very grateful to know. Thank u ❤️

[deleted] no it was a clinic in delhi, dr Rajiv Sharma's clinic to be more specific. He asked me for a genital examination and didn't ask me any questions or anything, it was very weird. I refused and got my money back then left feeling pretty upset. And yes, online would work, as long as the doctor is understanding and helpful

Hasini would recommend Dr.Kalra who has been working wid our communities for 10+ years. He works in Monash Gender Clinic, Australia. He does online Skype consult. His contact details ++++++++++. Note - someone here in dis very forum has had a bad experience wid Dr.Kalra. But generally he is very gud wid our communities. I have seen many folks get Der gd referral letter from Dr.Kalra.

[deleted] oh, thank u so much for ur kind words! My parents took me to this psychiatrist yesterday. I talked to him about my dysphoria and stuff but he didn't seem to completely get it, he ended up prescribing me meds for anxiety and depression. The meds sure are helping me a little. I was really confused about what I should do yesterday but now I feel better and mind is less foggy. I hope everyone has a good day today ^^

dysphoricgirl I do not suffer from any Anxiety disorder, and I only get anxious about transition related things (as one normally would and it's definitely manageable) and this psychiatrist I saw prescribed meds for it that he didn't go into details about the side effects and generally telling me about them, instead saying that I should just trust him because he's working at a Big™ and Good™ hospital. He was also very keen on RLE and openly admitted to not having seen a lot of transgender patients and said experience doesn't matter, they all have the same degree?¿ I wasted so much money and two weeks waiting for that appointment too. The mental health infrastructure everywhere in the world is inadequate but especially here in India

I personally meet him and help lot of guys for getting GID from him. He is Govt institute and fees also very low.

[deleted] omg I had the same experience with this one doctor I went to as well. He told me that I have to present myself as a female for 4 months before I can get my certificate but I'm not really comfortable with wearing women's clothes when I look like a guy, that's why I need to get on hrt so I can finally be me, he really didn't seem to understand my problem just gave me anti anxiety and depression pills but they've just been making me feel worse for some reason. I hate this stupid country. I wish u best luck with ur journey tho <3

As you know, it's really difficult to find trans friendly psychologist for GID letter and who can also make my parents understand the whole trans concept. Can you please guide me which are the best options for trans friendly and cost effective psychologist in delhi/ncr Or maybe in other states where I can access online consultation... for gid letter and counselling my parents as well.
I have heard abt some of these known people like dr. Rajiv sharma and Dr. Amit sen..... But many says that they are only doing business and will not put efforts in analysing if we actually have GID and probably give you letter in one session. So kindly share ur knowledge here so i can take my first step.
