I’m a tad late to the party but here it goes. I have had 7 sessions on my face at kaya. I didn’t have an extreme reaction but I do have 3-4 black bumps on my lower chin. I asked the doctor and she said they’ll go away after a while. Iirc, they appeared after the 3rd or 4th session.
Circling back, I opted for a full body package with 36(+1 complimentary) sessions. I think I paid 70k. They say it’s for 6 body parts but they let me know that I can use them as I see fit. I have a plan to use 11-12 sessions on my face. And then do other body parts randomly to get rid of as much hair as possible from arms, underarms, legs, stomach, chest or such.
It’s been around 8 months now and I have seen some really good progress. The areas I feel that are most difficult are the upper lip and the lower lip. I don’t have any facial hair growth now on my cheeks. There’s a little on my chin. It’s all enough to get stared at apparently.
Coming to the service experience, it has been positive for the most part. Except for the first appointment which they were being too “careful” and had me sign a waiver for removing full facial hair. SMH. The technicians and the doctor have been really helpful. They use my preferred name etc. Once this lady tried to bill me, and then shouted “thank you sir” very loudly but the girl who was tending to me shushed her. A bit bittersweet. I remember my first session, the technician made it a point to set my gender in their system as female. The last time I went, I saw it was set to male. I didn’t bring it up. I will, once I’m a little braver.
Yeah, that’s about as much as I can recall. But I’m happy to contribute if it can help anyone.
