You shd visit psychiatrists to get GD referral letters to start off wid d transition process. Clinical psychologists or counselors like me - role is to support you through your journey as d journey in itself is kinda rough n one need dat therapy or counseling or emotional support - depending on d individual. To start off HRT, 1 referral letter is enough, for surgeries one needs 2 gd referral letters from 2 independent psychiatrists.
Now coming back to your question on top surgery, ders no surgeon to my knowledge in Kolkata. One might need to travel to Delhi, Mumbai, Blore, Chennai depending on d financial assistance or financial situation. In Delhi, Dr.Bhim Singh Nanda n Dr.Richie Gupta - results are good ( have seen pics). In Mumbai , my own surgeon Dr.Sameer Kharkhanis, very pleased wid d aesthetics, how d nipple was grafted and overall very happy and never deadnamed, staff treated me wid respect and surgeon is very knowledgeable on Dysphoria. In Pondicherry - Dr.Meghna, Mahatma Gandhi hospital- results are gud( hearsay). In Chennai Dr.Shivram Bharadwaj- results are gud( hearsay). In Blore, It's quite difficult to get a surgery date wid M.S.Ramiah memorial hospital as dey do it at subsidised cost. I have no clue on d results. Glad dat I am of some help.
