I'm thinking about moving to Pune in the coming months, and I'll be there for a few weeks starting this month. Does anyone (@Transgenie ) have any suggestions for trans-friendly psychiatrists in Pune?

Hi, I felt the doctor was understanding, LGBT friendly and does not stereotype gender dysphoria cases.
I am not sure what are your next steps of transition and in which city you want to go for HRT. In pune, I could not find doctors for HRT and tried to go for HRT at Kokilaben hospital, Mumbai. The letters that I had, were not good enough as they wanted detailed evaluation report with results of psychometric tests. I feel its better to check with endocrinologist or surgeon, (depends on where you plan next transition steps), as to what they expect and which psychiatrists they trust. Then may be also discuss with the psychiatrist if required details can be mentioned in report/letter.

Sonal_t, have you consulted with dr. Kaustubh Joa? I'm asking this question because you are saying in detail report was not provide. I need consultation too as I feel like a boy but my body doesn't reflect. If this doctor is good then I will go with my parents because my parents has lots of questions, how is it possible, why I feel like a boy etc. And I also want to know regarding Dr.vrushali Shenoy Healthbox (Pune) if anyone has idea whether this doctor is good or i can go for kaustubh joa. Please help me it's very urgent.

I am actually scared to consult any doctor because a wrong doctor might fill many negative thoughts in my mind which might be a problem for mental health. also I would love to hear your hrt progress. Abhi_Genderfluid Sorry for the late reply. I think you can use the info mentioned in this thread, if you want to go ahead and meet the doctor. In my experience, the doctor is trans friendly and understanding.

Surbhi Hi, I am not sure of recent consultation fees charged by Dr Kaustubh Joag, as I had met the doctor quite sometime back.
You can call the clinic and enquire about the consultation fees. Also, as @Sunitapune has written in the post, you can get an idea of the fees.
