Prisha lets list our some pros and cons
pros for being in india
easy to get meds ( recently doctors are more open and getting letter for HRT is easy, no waiting period like in UK)
CHEAP MEDS ARE CHEAP ( some meds are cheap in price)
free surgeries do exist in some states, home ground advantage of having fail safe and people to care always exist
CONS for being in india
famous and good medicines ( injection vials ) are not available so slow and un efficiency in transition
Good meds do cost more
ENDOS don’t have a idea of transgender health and their usual problems
still a transphobic society
earning is poor for freshers and others so getting good surgery from thailand takes more time in earning so more time in frustration
need for gender surgery to have a change of gender in id
getting a letter or consent is hard ( if you are a minor) and we don’t still have acceptance at very young age and they are like one or two people
still begging is there among the hijra community which indicates POOR EMPOWERMENT
lesser recognition for other transgender or agender people THEN TRANSEXUALS IT,S LIKE IF ALL SIDES OF UMBRELLA ARE TORN AND ONLY ONE SIDE REMAINS GOOD THERE IS NO USE
getting intro relationship is hard
conversion therapies are at huge and are not illegalised there is a fortune in this business and they can even drill a hole in your head and get away with it ( if you are a minor)
SO LETS COME TO THE ACTUAL QUESTION
if you are planing to go for learning choose which is best for learning and eventually that place will give you the necessary tools.
donot go for transfriendly places and loose on getting good education ( finding both is a long search good luck with that and i have no idea, try europe or west coast usa)
for job you can choose the transfriendly countries and mostly they are european nations and americans so you get pay more and are easy to transtion and they do recrify most of the above cons in india
final note of my perspective transitioning is better in abroad provided you get the job or studies ( 3 in one,get a job and study and transition)
India is good but needs long way to go .... still you could consult with some folks
