Guys if anyone knows any method of name changing in aadhar please let me know, i tried through tg id card and gazette but this people are rejecting my document even though i have been multiple times to khanija bhavan and hsr layout aadhar centre from past august 2025. I'm slightly frustrated by this every time they say this is valid document but during verification process in online it's getting rejected. Tried to meet regional manager in khanija bhavan but couldn't, by reading this does anyone knows any other method apart from above which helps please do let me know.

hello kevin,
yes and i just sent two people in one month to HSR uidai and they were able to use their gazette for name change, at this point i wonder if your gazette is proper without mistakes? when you submit the gazette, print 1st page and page on which the notification appears in, also its advised to paste a passport size photo next to it, use highlighter to box the notification and sign over them like so

suchitra Hello Suchitra, thank you for replying, sure i will check this once and clarify with them. Because during my previous enrollment they didn't ask for my photo and signature on gazette notification copy.

suchitra hi. Is name change still possible on aadhaar with only TG ID? I have updated my gender in aadhaar but not the name

hello_schezen hello actually no we can't change our name with TG id card even though it's a valid document as per aadhar rules. For name change it's better giving gazette notification. Mine was rejected previously and later on i gave gazette notification it got changed within 45 working days

Kevin97 I have applied for gazette notification but it's still not published yet. I applied for national gazette in April. It's almost August now and they still haven't published. My university is asking for updated document with the new name so that they can register under the new name

But Aadhar documentation states that any id (state/central) under 2019-20 policy shall be used as a POI for name and gender change!..

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

thendral you are correct but they will reject during verification, i faced same issue from past one year but two months ago i again re-enrolled with gazette notification and got done within 45days

thendral sad reality, but if you trying to get it done and if you are from Bangalore you can try going to HSR center there aadhar manager is very good.
