AnuLuna I met her in the Apollo spectra hospital in T nagar, The consultation was wonderful, She let me do the whole talking and listened patiently. BTW some shy moments. Long story short I got what I needed. She also referred me an Endocrinologist whom she knows. I'm currently looking in to the Sperm freezing thing, Once it's done I can start Hrt yipee!

So I've finally decided to start my transition after beating myself over it. I realise the first step is to get my GID from a psychiatrist. Another trans woman I know recommend Dr. Hema Tharoor from Chennai. I'm going to get an appointment for November 28th. Does anyone here know about her? Is she good? Also, I've never been to a psychiatrist before, much less for a GID. Can someone comment on how your experience was? What can I expect?

The_fluid_bi hi there, I went to Dr Hema tharoor last year. She's very trans friendly and gave me the GID certificate on the first consultation. Her consultation fees was 1000 at that time. Also she recommended an Endocrinologist Dr sruthi chandrasekar for hrt. Don't worry you will do just fine. Good luck 🤞.

The_fluid_bi You need to just open up all your feelings to them. That will make the process much easier as the psychologist will understand you much better and the gravity of the situation. Also for endo you do a bit research because what is important is not to find a doctor who administers hormone therapy but also one who cares for any minor hiccups after being on therapy.
