Moonchild Hello i am a foregner transgender woman living in India i am residing here for all my life i am a sadhvi nun living spiritual religious life. I wish to understand to find out how i can manage to continue my daily hrt treatment here it seems there is no ways to get medical help i have to try to pay for hrt medicine and for endocrinologist visits but i can't afford it anymore it seems very costly here to get treatment for transgender and it seems there is no ways to get free medical help. There is any scheme provvided by the government of India to help transgender peoples medically? It is the smile scheme working or not? Or it is not allowed for foregners living in India to join any scheme and get the free medical help? Basically i can't get medical help my health is deteriorating without taking medicine properly and without doing chek ups with Endrocrinologist please if i can join smile scheme or any health scheme wich works let me know anyone because i can't afford to buy medicines and see doctors privately.
abhaya Moonchild in every state there is state sponser medical insurance for the citizens, if you have got yourself Indian citizen ship it can help you else you need to seek support from ngo's and trusts that are built to help people in need

Primodal77 India doesn't really recognise trans, so I'd suggest join some kinnar grps, since ur a sadhvi u can join kinnar akhada and get the needed help
Moonchild Primodal77 ho my God what is going on why Indian Government not recognising now Transgender peoples this is mad. Why now they changing so what happens now to all trans peoples and to the smile scheme and to the tg id cards in India and how trans peoples will get accepted and how will get help medically etc...? But i dont know how we and why we should join a kinnar or hijra akhara i don't understand why? It is all mad what they are doing i think who made this bill does not understand at all what is meaning of transgender perhaps they are not educated peoples.
