Vent ,Issues after transition :from straight cd to trans women

Hi I used to be straight mtf cd , never found myself attracted to guys . After moving to usa for i took therapy who suggested me to go for transition. I had been on HRT since 4 years , i have had ffs ,body contouring procedures, because of which I kind of started passing. My mother wasn't talking to me during this phase , but after my father passed away she started talking to me again and started accepting me , i came back to India but soon after that she wanted me to settle down with a guy . Due to that emotional blackmail or probably to get her acceptance i agreed to marriage, who's sole condition was that I get srs . I got srs last year , we got married in May , but I still kind of don't feel strong attraction. Moreover he isn't much financially stable and I am unable to work as I still have my guy documents not sure on how to and what to update .. its getting too much frustrated

I can understand. nothing is clear. but dont worry. this group has many people who can give process tips.

DO you have a GD certificate from a Psychiatrist? That an a notorized affidivat stating your new gender and new name.
Use these to upload to GOVT SMILE portal to apply for TG card. This is very important for every document update in the future . It can take 2 -3 months with regular followup.

In your adhaar card, you can change gender directly to female for the first update.
But for name change they ask for gazzette publication even though TG card is valid as per law.

Once you have adhaar card and TG certificate and card in place, life will be easier.

In addition to what transmom2024 said, many companies, especially ones based overseas will let you use your preferred identity and name while working. Obviously HR will have your legal name on file. You can work towards updating your legal docs while working.
