HOW TO REDUCE DIALATION PAIN

I had sigmoid colon vaginoplasty surgery last month and the dilation is still paining like a bitch even after 27 days after surgery

right now I am using a soft dialator which is made out of sponge stuffed in a good condom but it still pains so what are you doing for such pain ?

Which size of dilator u r using ?
I have completed all of mine 5 different size dilators . I never feel such pain.
Pls ask ur surgeon way of dilation properly

Idk the size exactly but it's more than 6.5 inches I'm sure
The doctor has only given one size
Right now cause I'm not able to dialate with it he has made a soft sponge dialator which I'm using and i still have the sensitivity pain with it
Like right now using the soft dialator I'm bleeding a lot that it is creating period like symptoms where I'm having pain, cramps and fatigue
Due to the pain I'm irritable right now

The surgeon showed me the way to dialate and I'm doing the same

And I'm using the gel lubricant that was prescribed

Because I'm not dialating with the rigid one due to pain he has asked me to keep the soft dialator inside me and only remove when I'm going to pee or bathe, right now I have removed it cause I'm not able to sit or get up with it inside me so I plan to put it back in at night and sleep

6 inch was my last size
I started with @1.5 inches
Then each dilator using atleast for 2-3 weeks
It's impossible to dilation with 6 inch dilator in beginning
Pls don't try with it

genecistech The doctor started with a soft dialtor in the hospital, which was around 4 to 5 inches itself, and then immediately increased the size to more than 6.5 inches and the whole thing went in easily but with a lot of pain

right now its exactly 27 or 28 days since the surgery was done

I guess u know process of sigmoid colon vaginoplasty
The surgeon makes a tunnel from the perineum to the peritoneum, where the vagina will be opened, i.e. at the anatomical location between the rectum and the bladder.
They just create opening which is very small then we have create depth and width by dilatation.
Yes absolutely it has more depth but that we have to achieve only by dilatation

We should achieve it by step by step dilation
Initially that depth is nominal just like half of our second finger
So I don't feel it's good idea and illogical to dilate with big size dilators.
Just don't try it forcefully
It may cause difficulties to surgically created vagina

Iam telling all these as per my surgeon
Pls consult once again to ur surgeon

No dear it's not good for dilation
U can skip pain definitely but vagina will not expand by those

Update

I bought a new dilator set and the symptoms still seem to be the same where there is a burning sensation when inserting the dilator and after removing it as well, there is bleeding after the dilator was removed, the size of the dilator was the same width as a fountain pen and the length was 6-inch, only 1 inch was inserted before I removed it due to the burning sensation

With the kind of symptoms you are mentioning I feel like you have got a cut/fissure on your vaginal lining, perhaps because of inadequate lubricant or because of pushing the dilators way to hard. Generously apply the lubricant over your dilators and stick to the small diameter until ur vaginal lining heals. You can also use antibiotics oitments to heal the cracks/fissures.

I am using a lot of lubricant and also using it each time bring it out to put it in once again, i am pushing it in slowly as possible because of which i am not putting it inside completely

Realneilbruce you should try consulting with your surgeon, your symptoms are suggestive of a fissure in your vaginal lining. Maybe he can examine you and give you promt treatment.
