Getting the name updated on UAN

So I've had my name and the rest of the details updated everywhere. Until last month I didn't realise that they don't automatically update this on the UAN Portal and now I can't download the passbook.

Does anyone know how to get that updated as well? It is very important to get it done and I hope this serves as a post of record for others.

You have to ask your employer to initiate the change then follow it up with your nearest EPFO office and then get it transferred to the regional Headoffice and they will change it there

suchitra Thats best as then there is less hassel but after you get a job it has to go through more people to change

I had my name updated before joining so everything is in order at the new place. Just the UAN seems to be giving problems.
@Realneilbruce do you think I should just head straight to the EPFO office?

andi Won't help as the empoyer has to initate it and then you need to get it pushed to the head office
