ALonelySoul Before you come out to the world, you need to come out to yourself. Accept what you are!
Coming out is a personal choice. I have never been closeted when I identified as gay. Everyone in my personal life and at work knew. It was very liberating to not have to hide!
But the trans identity is something I chose to keep within a closed circle because I have learnt that it is not safe to do that in India. While initially I was surprised how open & supportive my friends were when I told them, I later realized its a veil. Some male "friends" started getting a little too "handsy" at times. Its not a nice place to be. So I would avoid coming out as trans when in India because it isn't safe.
Abroad its a different world. People are more supportive, understand these things better and are not creepy at all.
