i am 25 years old, how much does the laser or electrolysis cost to remove the facial hair (beard) , Is there any doctor or clinic in himachal pradesh for HRT .

adrian7036 It cost from 2K to 5k / session , cost will vary based on the city u are in. You will need 6 to 10 session for complete facial hair reduction. & i suggest u only start Laser hair removal after u start HRT. if u do it befor u start HRT, u may need double the sessions.

Hi, I need suggestions for good laser hair removal clinics. I'm in Pune, have talked to a well rated clinic and kaya here and they quote 6-7k per session. They were informative about procedure, said 6-7 sessions will be needed, discount if I go for package. But honestly I don't feel confident about either, both hinting that I'll probably need to keep seeing them every year or less for repeat sessions. I told them I was trans and on hormones, they didn't blink an eye but apparently had no experience with transwomen. I guess they were setting the right expectations yet I can't get rid of the feeling that maybe they just want my money. So, does anyone have recommendations for clinics around Maharashtra? I'm willing to travel once a month out of town. Any other advice or information will also be greatly appreciated.

Peace 6-7k per session is really expensive. What kind of laser do they use?

Peace Well Laser is more like a jackpot it would work for some and for some it would make no difference! Skin type and colour along with hair colour and thickness makes a difference while opting for laser! I have had my laser hair removal done at Kaya Juhu in Bombay and it has worked miraculously for me. Most of my facial hair is gone I think HRT has helped too! Well the clinic that I went too had no knowledge of how to deal with trans person but they were happy to help. I think laser is a best option for hair removal but as I said results may vary from person to person!

swapna Best bet would be adapting to epilating devices. Literally hell, but you get to used to that pain OPT. Once in a while its good to get waxing done to shed off dry/dead skin. Razors cause you skin bumps and cuts are inevitable. STAY AWAY from depilating creams as they tend to cause skin concerns. Veet strips are a good choice, but it takes time to skill efficiency. I currently use a Panasonic epilator on a monthly basis. Actually a fine trimmer can be a time savior and peace maker. LASER is recommended only after a semester period's HRT and yea it can cost you anywhere between 2.5 to 5K depending on the place. Make sure they use efficient diode machines. Never had any experience with ND-YAG. Kaya mostly has them. Electrolysis is not painful, but little inefficient and can leave scars if done by inexperienced. For any darker skin patches, IPL or any such skin lightening laser solutions are a good go. Better to opt it thru dermatologist in place of a cosmetic saloons.

PS: All suggestions are from my personal experiences and no means to ignite any. Spare me kindly.

swapna I'm very sorry girl. I couldn't connect back. Being offline most of my life these days. Its always wise to mix all possible options for hair removal. Do waxing, epilation, shave, trim, ... except creams ? Gradually, hair density & coarseness gets finer & lesser. Commit to laser only if you can afford compete removal, otherwise, it would be waste of time, money & efforts.

pihu girls...i am pre hrt and already on my 16th session of laser next month... it has helped me a lot ....yoh all should think about laser if you can afford it ....it will hurt initially the diode one but the results are super awesome and helped me with so muh relief when it made me smooth all over...i will heavily recommend diode laser ....love Ankita
