swapna SivaChennai , Actually its a huge lie the society is made to believe that transgenders who beg on the streets or do sex work are poor. Almost all of them who live in the communal groups earn at least 20,000rs a month after paying off their Guru's share... and if u go to the place where the community lives, u will be shocked... there are even Air conditioned rooms in some of their cottages.
I dont understand why dont people use their common sense, a physically fit cis begger on the street , is choosing to take up begging as a job, just becoz it is paying him better money than other forms of employment. transgender beggars generate a lot of sympathy in people, they earn much more. and They have enough money to start their own small businesses, but they choose not to work , but to beg. and the ones who get more greedy , robb people.
It is a choice.... not the only option. So many transgender beggars look sooo beautiful , much more beautiful & passable than cis women. if they really want to earn a decent living , they need not tell about their trans status to anyone, they can just open a idli shop or a mobile canteen , or some small businesses... where no one will ask for their transgender status or educational certificates... but they still choose to beg... becoz it gives them easy money.
