Stormy i would say follow your urges and increase intake if your body is asking for it. A lil extra calories won't hurt. not to forget it's winter, so extra adipose would be a little healthy too and provide cusion against the weather.
Your harmones should take care of the deposition as per genetics.
Excesise can't target deposition but it can help in many ways, so if you can I'd definitely encourage you to go ahead and workout.
