Chandhini143 hi. Does it hurt? On some and not on others maybe?
If it's not hurting on some they may be in exogen phase. Those should be safe to remove. But avoid forcing out unwilling hair.
Harm Caution and Harm reduction
Please look for signs for inflammation ( redness or heat) even if you don't perceive the pulling as painful. You may not sense the pain but you should care for your skin. And see to it that you take steps to avoid infection. (The pulling out may cause small wounds, that could get infected ). Wash and use cold water after to reduce inflammation and close pores.
Introspection
Is there any reason you started the hair pulling? Sometimes stress and anxiety can make some of us instinctually do this for stimulation / distraction.
Is there any exam or something worrying you? then it may be useful to realize that you are stressed and should try to find nicer ways to blow it off and calm yourself. Even constant unending work can be stress factor.
If it's stress then it can be managed in other ways. Idk what will work for you, but do try talking to someone as friend or a psychologist etc.
Alternatives
In my experience, in such situation some other somewhat painful acts (like heavy exercise, cardio) can also give that little rush / euphoric feeling. You could see if that works for you too.
p.s: as an added advantage it was also affirming for me, as i desired a smaller frame, to feel like myself . And (almost) every one of those post excertion soreness + euphoria made me realise of being one more step ahead on my path.
Do take care.
