For the gd letter for the psychiatrist, I spent 2k. It was the cheapest and fastest option I found then, there are some alternatives that could be cheaper but I haven't heard of any first hand confirmation for it.
The blood tests my endo asked for the first session were:
Complete hemogram , fasting lipid profile , Hba1c, creatinine, sgot sgpt, TSH.
It'll depend on the center near you, I've found ddrcsrl pretty reliable. I don't remember exactly how much it was but maybe 1.6k or so?
The HRT itself, was 200-250/month to start, and is now (3 months after starting) 300-350/month as I've gone up in dosage. This is including syringes, needles and the shipping fees. I got my stuff from netmeds.
The cost would depend on the dosage and frequency your endo puts you on, but looking up sustanon on netmeds would give you a pretty solid idea.
For top surgery, a quote I got from a doctor was 80-95k for the surgery, anaesthesia, and room charges. Consultation fees, medicines, disposables and post-surgery compression are charged separately. From my research, top surgery in India I find can go for for 1-1.5 lakhs. I've also seen mention of 4 lakhs somewhere. It'll depend on the surgeon.
Bottom surgery, I'm not sure. But I've heard numbers like 8-10 lakhs be quoted. I remember looking at the cost for simple release meta somewhere and finding it was much lesser, I'm not sure now. That said, so far I've found very little information on bottom surgery for transmasc folks in India.
Most medical insurances doesn't cover gender affirming surgery in India, but I have heard that Godrej's employee insurance covers SRS (don't know if top comes under this). There are other employers like this.
