i want to become a girl when i was 14 years i thought, now i am 44 yers i use to where female dresses then up of that ill where pant shirt ill go out and come, because of my family i am not able to change my self... i want to become girl completely, i want to breath free air... any one can help me please... Every day i am praying to god next birth born as a girl, respect my feeling please help me! i am from chennai still i am staying with my family members, help me please...

srireshma Hi. this is my step-to-step guide on how I transitioned. Maybe it will help you.

I started wearing more gender affirming clothing (if you're male-to-female then you can start by wearing more dresses, wearing nail polish, makeup and (though colours do not have gender) start wearing more "feminine" colours because they might make you feel more like a girl.)
You can always accesorize your house or room or any objects in ways that you might feel are more feminine.
You can start by correcting people when they use He/Him pronouns for you. Remember: You dont have to tell people that you are transgender to be accepted as a girl. Though being transgender is not a sin, I have found

I have found that people view me as less of a boy when I tell them that I am a transgender boy.

4.You can start hormone therapy right away and take estrogen which will cause changes such as a higher voice, breasts, decreased muscle growth and more feminine features to appear.
If you feel extremely uncomfortable then you can even get surgeries such as feminizing your facial features or breast implants. This often helps with the discomfort that you feel.

You can also change your gender and name legally.
Remember to be careful and be who you are because the world will try to put you down but you should live as the person you want to be.

Luca actually estrogen therapy doesn't effect their voice like testosterone does. Trans-women/trans-girl train their voice to make it appear feminine

srireshma Since you say you are 44 , are you married ? I suggest first you visit a trans friendly psychiatrist . Maybe not for GID but for depression, if at all it exists. To stay away for a week from family is a kind of escape feeling. Which is normal but it has to be dealt by professional. That will surely help for. Goodluck

This is a UK specific guide, but I've found that there are parts which are applicable to everyone.
Gender dysphoria bible is also a good resource, but that's more for introspection than acting on your desire.
