More specifically I'm AMAB (28M) whose is considering HRT and looking for slow feminization without significant loss in sexual function. I have just started a new career in education as a professor and the environment in my college is not at all queer friendly. Additionally I'm out to my friends but not to my family and I'm not sure if I want to do that or when I'll be ready to do that. I am genderfluid and so while I don't find my masculine characterstics like facial hair significantly distressing, sometimes dysphoria hits like a truck. I'm also a very feminine looking guy and I am really scared that I'll grow more masculine as I age. Luckily I live alone so ideally I want to be able to boy mode through my day while being free to be me inside my clothes and in my private/personal life. Even a little bit of feminization like light breast growth or even mental effects will make me very happy. Definitely don't mind if I get more, will have to get creative hiding it though.

Going through reddit and reading through this article medically my goals appear to be achievable and fairly straight forward through estrogen monotherapy at doses ranging 1-2mg.

What I want to know are the following:

If there are psychiatrists and endocrinologists in Bangalore who are sufficiently open enough to discuss this with.
Because I don't like the gatekeeping by the medical fraternity i.e., having to pay money to convince someone else that I am "Trans enough" to want this, I want know if I can just experiment by taking estradiol valerate (Progynova 2mg) for a month and seeing if it's right for me, particularly gauging the mental effects such as fatigue, mood swings, attention span etc. for myself before I consult doctors for medical supervision if I decide this is right for me long term particularly. I see many such cases on reddit but I also want to know if someone here has done this and how easy or difficult it is to source estradiol.
